The girl with the binoculars

I woke up this morning with a vision of the top left hand corner of this drawing in my mind. Little huts and trees in a sketchy pinkish-blue. This is an imaginary record sleeve for music that doesn't exist.

It reminds me of that line in Belle and Sebastian's "If She Wants Me":

"I took a book and went into the forest

I drew this listening to Boy Omega (whose album Night Visions is my new obsession) and also this video of the late Ray Bradbury giving advice to young writers:

Gil Scott-Heron

My brother Lewis got me into Gil Scott-Heron's music a few years back after playing me "The Revolution Will Not Be Televised".

so... instead of printing the group photo of all the hardworking Back 2 Bikes volunteers standing beneath my banner, this week the Express and Star printed a picture of local MP David Kidney riding a bike.

(NOTE: David Kidney just happened to be visiting Back2Bikes)

It makes me so mad!!! Everyone there works so hard - my little brother has worked there for free for 3 years now! Its time they got some recognition.
